The Harvest Masquerade BALL comes to De la Luz with a night of music, food, and community celebration. On stage, Shanti Starr & the Afro Reggae Allstars bring their globe-spanning sound, blending traditional West African instruments like balafon and djembe with deep reggae grooves. Starr, a longtime local artist who has toured across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, captivates with multilingual lyrics and powerful stage presence—backed by a band that guarantees to keep the dance floor moving with support from belly dancer supreme Sherine Khatoun.
Also performing is Roosta Acousta, whose soulful acoustic stylings carry both rootsy warmth and danceable energy, creating the perfect opening for the night’s mix of global sounds. Adding to the momentum, DJ Trends and DJ Cancer keep the party going with sets that draw on world music, reggae, and dance beats to bring generations together on the floor.
In the kitchen, enjoy tamales by Dan Ochoa alongside seasonal dishes crafted by Chef Sara Barnes, pairing fall flavors with festive rhythms. The event is all ages and family friendly, with costume prizes to kick off the season in style. And for those who grow, enter your best bud in the Cannabis Cup—a community showcase with voting and prizes (buds on display only, no sales).
The Harvest Party is a chance to gather, taste, dance, and celebrate the season together at De la Luz. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Youth and seniors $10.
