Ascend NYE transforms our historic mill buildings into a connected, multi-stage odyssey—an unfolding world of sound, light, and movement built to guide you into the new year. Each space becomes its own realm, and at the center of this journey stand three artists known for reshaping what bass music can be: Supertask, whose hypnotic downtempo feels like drifting through a lucid dream; Kursa, bending glitch, groove, and chaos into a kinetic forcefield; and CØNTRA, conjuring deep, shadowy atmospheres that pull you in with gravity. Every set opens a different doorway.
The visuals carry the story forward. Haze thickens in the air as lasers draw slow, deliberate shapes above the crowd; projections spill across brick and beam like shifting constellations; colors expand and retract with the pulse of the music. Supertask’s world glows with soft gradients and meditative patterns, while Kursa’s erupts in glitch-reactive flashes and fractured light. In the adjoining buildings, Tunic B2B Dovee, Requiem Witch, and Beastman B2B Baby Deer build the more shadowed chambers of the night—raw, intimate, and unpredictable—where rhythm and instinct take the lead.
As midnight approaches, the entire complex hums. You wander between levels like passing through different dimensions, following the energy that resonates with you—floating, charging, disappearing, reappearing. The visuals sharpen, the low end swells, and the crowd gathers as the rooms align for the final ascent into 2026.
