And now special guest Massamba Diop will be bringing his fiery Senegalese talking drum into this soundscape. You may not know his name, but Massamba’s talking drum is the rhythmic engine behind the spectacular African drumming throughout both of the Academy Awards-winning soundtracks of “The Black Panther.” Yeah, that guy.
Each of these players has travelled the world in the process of creating their respective worlds of music. Together they weave a legacy of tradition and innovation that is the future of where music can take us all. It’s Jazz, World Fusion, Funk, Blues, mesmerizing Senegalese rhythms, and all the unpredictable magic that comes from such a daring mix…
It’s really about how a world overflowing in music can all flow together. The music they create seems to be saying what we already know, and it’s that we are all connected.
