The story
Grant Wicks brings his new band OcCult Classic to the Divine Theater alongside True Jackie and The Demographic for a night rooted in the Valley’s independent music scene. There’s a connection beyond the shared bill: Wicks recorded and mixed The Demographic’s album Hiatus at Uncanny Audio in Easthampton.
Following a sold-out debut at Holyoke Media in August, OcCult Classic returns for its second show. Joining them is True Jackie, whose self-described “Loud songs by introverts” brings together indie rock, noise pop and shoegaze. The Western Mass quartet has been making music together since 2010.
The Demographic rounds out the lineup with loud Western Massachusetts rock dating back to 2009. Three bands with different histories, shared connections and plenty of reasons to discover a new local favorite.
