The story
Time's Up for the Billionaires is a full-length hip hop record made by more than a dozen Massachusetts artists, who describe it as a socialist album. Boston hip hop veteran Paul Willis executive-produced it, and JoiBeatz recorded, mixed and mastered every one of its thirteen tracks.
It plays like a crew record. Verses pass between Foundation Movement, MaceyOMaze, Sol E Soul, Solmaria, Terry Borderline, Messi Amaru'Khan and many more, and the beats reach past the sampler: the title track rides a live band with piano and trumpet, and flute and trombone turn up elsewhere.
Artists from the album bring it to the Soundstage for a free concert, one stop on a tour across the state.
This event is organized by Joe Tache for Senate, which has rented the room. De la Luz does not support or oppose any candidate for public office.
Paid for by Joe Tache for Senate.
